Since 2022, Lemongrass Productions has been honoured to partner with the Sir Peter Blake Trust to deliver the annual BLAKE Awards. This is New Zealand’s special gala evening celebrating six extraordinary leaders whose vision and impact are shaping a more sustainable future for Aotearoa. 

 

Throughout the year the team at BLAKE also run many great programmes inspired by Sir Peter Blake and perhaps best summed up by his last log entry: “We want to restart people caring for the environment…through adventure, through participation, through education and through enjoyment.” 

 

The BLAKE Awards, held every November, bring together senior government officials, corporate partners, iwi representatives and community leaders in a stirring celebration of excellence. Six awards—ranging from the Rangatahi (Youth) Award sponsored by Westpac to the Kaitiaki o te Taiao (Environment) Award sponsored by NIWA—shine a spotlight on individuals whose leadership delivers social, cultural, environmental and economic breakthroughs.

It’s our pleasure to run all the behind-the-scenes magic. Lemongrass Productions manages all catering logistics, from menu design to service coordination. We source and install thematic décor, lighting, and AV systems, as well as oversee entertainment bookings and video presentations. Our operations team are competent in handling floor plans, furniture layouts, and table assignments to ensure smooth guest movement. On the PR side, we also drafted and distributed press releases, wrote feature articles celebrating each award winner, and liaised directly with media outlets to secure coverage. At Lemongrass Productions, we provide full-service, end-to-end event management, guiding you through every stage and ensuring you feel supported and taken care of at every step.
